1. Compliance Status
The Consorzio Armec website is continuously committed to ensuring an accessible experience for all users, regardless of their abilities. To this end, it strives to comply as closely as possible with the WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) requirements established by the W3C, with particular attention to Level A, while also aiming to meet many AA and AAA priorities.
2. Screen Readers and Keyboard Navigation
We have implemented ARIA technologies and optimized website behaviors to make every element understandable and interactive through assistive tools (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack). All images include alternative text (ALT); social media and search icons are properly described; buttons, menus, and popups have correct roles and labels.
Keyboard support is available to ensure all users can navigate and interact without difficulty: full navigation is possible using Tab and Shift+Tab, Enter to activate buttons and links, and the arrow keys and spacebar for radio buttons and checkboxes.
In addition, the following keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys) are available to facilitate website navigation and usability:
- Ctrl + Alt + I → invert colors
- Ctrl + Alt + G → enable grayscale mode
- Ctrl + Alt + U → underline links
- Ctrl + Alt + C → enable large cursor
- Ctrl + Alt + R → enable reading guide
3. Supported Disability Profiles
- Visual: text and contrast enhancements, alternative text on visual elements.
- Sensory: clear structures and roles through ARIA.
- Motor: full keyboard accessibility.
- Cognitive: clean layout, intuitive labels, ease of use.
4. Readability and Interface Adjustments
- Text Size: manually adjustable and smoothly scalable.
- Clear Structure: breadcrumbs and active menus are highlighted.
- Visibility: a “Print” button is available for simplified navigation and better readability on paper.
5. Compatibility with Assistive Technologies and Browsers
Tested on: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera, and screen readers JAWS, NVDA (Windows/macOS), VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), and TalkBack (Android).
6. Non-accessible Content and Ongoing Improvements
Some external files (e.g., PDFs) or third-party integrated sections may not yet fully comply with accessibility standards. We are continuously working to review and improve them as soon as possible.
7. Final Notes and Feedback
Despite our ongoing commitment to accessibility, some areas may still require improvement. If you encounter any difficulties or have suggestions, please contact us via the website contact form or through WhatsApp/email, available in the “Contact Us” section.
