TURBO ARMEC Balancing Machines and Flow Benches

The DUO B is a complete solution that combines the functionalities of the B1R and B1TC into a single machine, enabling the entire turbocharger balancing process to be performed, from the individual rotor to the high-speed core assembly.

Designed to optimize workflow efficiency, the DUO B allows all imbalance measurement and correction operations to be carried out without moving the component between different workstations, reducing processing times, space requirements, and operating costs.

Low-Speed Balancing – B1R Technology

In the first stage, the DUO B operates as a rotor balancing machine, enabling the balancing of:

  • Individual turbine shafts
  • Individual compressor wheels
  • Complete rotors (turbine shaft + compressor wheel)

Thanks to its automatic self-calibration system, the machine independently identifies the geometric characteristics of the component without requiring manual input of dimensional parameters.

This technology makes it possible to:

  • Eliminate setup errors
  • Reduce setup times
  • Standardize the production process
  • Increase process repeatability

High-Speed Balancing – B1TC Technology

Once the initial stage is completed, the DUO B allows operators to move directly to high-speed balancing of the core assembly.

The system can reach speeds of up to 250,000 rpm, simulating operating conditions that are extremely close to those experienced by the turbocharger in real applications.

Measurement is performed through highly sensitive vibration analysis, allowing the detection and correction of dynamic imbalances that affect:

  • Vibrations
  • Noise levels
  • Turbocharger reliability
  • Component service life

Maximum Operational Flexibility

The DUO B supports both operating modes available on the B1TC:

  • Core assembly balancing using dedicated adapters
  • Balancing of the core assembly installed in the original turbine housing
