Armec B1 TC Turbo Balancer: Professional Precision, Ease of Use, and Industry 4.0 Technology

The B1TC is the high-speed balancing machine designed to work on core assemblies, allowing tests under conditions extremely close to the turbocharger's real operating conditions.

High-speed performance

The distinctive feature of the B1TC is its ability to operate at very high speeds:

Up to 250,000 rpm (maximum)

Typical operating range:

  • 135,000 rpm
  • 150,000 rpm
  • 180,000 rpm

The speed is adjusted according to the type and size of the core assembly.

Technical configuration

The machine incorporates a structure designed to ensure precision and repeatability:

  • Universal clamping system for the core assembly
  • Lubrication system with dedicated oil supply inlet and outlet
  • Magnetic sensor for speed detection (RPM)
  • Integrated vibration sensor for imbalance analysis
  • Support plate with high-sensitivity detection system

Unlike other systems, the measurement is based on vibration analysis, which is more representative of the turbo's actual behavior.

Wide compatibility

The B1TC is designed to cover a wide range of applications:

  • small automotive core assemblies (e.g. city cars)
  • turbines for commercial vehicles
  • industrial, agricultural, and stationary applications

This versatility makes it suitable both for specialized workshops and for broader production environments.

Dual test mode

One of the main strengths of the B1TC is the possibility of working in two operating configurations.

  1. Adapter mode (bare core assembly)
    • use of dedicated gauges that simulate the turbine housing
    • rotation generated by airflow directed onto the blades
    • ideal for: mass production and fast processing of core assemblies to be sold individually
    • The system includes a set of more than 70 adapters to cover different geometries.
  2. Semi-assembled turbine mode
    • testing with the core assembly already mounted in the original turbine housing
    • an even more realistic simulation of operation
    • ideal for those working on the complete turbine
    • reduction of operational steps

Advantages

  • faster work cycle
  • direct transition to the final assembly stage
  • greater consistency with real behavior

Integration with flow testing

In combined systems (balancing + flow testing), the B1TC offers a significant operational advantage:

  • the same lubrication circuit used for both phases
  • the same reusable adapters
  • quick transition from balancing to flow testing

Result

  • reduced setup times
  • greater process efficiency
  • fewer tools required

Energy efficiency

The use of the semi-assembled turbine mode also allows:

  • lower air consumption compared with simulated adapters
  • greater efficiency during high-speed testing

Precision and result quality

The B1TC stands out for its vibration-imbalance-based analysis:

  • real measurement of dynamic behavior
  • direct correlation with:
    • noise
    • vibrations
    • turbo lifespan

Benefits

greater long-term reliability

  • reduction of post-installation issues
  • higher quality of the final product

Included equipment

The machine is supplied with:

  • complete set of adapters (70+)
  • plastic gauges for housing simulation
  • plates and supports for universal configuration
  • oil inlet and outlet systems

In summary

The B1TC is a high-precision solution for balancing core assemblies, ideal for:

  • high-speed operations
  • serial production
  • complete turbocharger overhaul

It offers a perfect balance of performance, flexibility, and integration into the production process.
