B1 R TURBO ARMEC: Compact Test Bench for Precision Testing and Maximum Reliability

The B1R is the balancing machine dedicated to the rotating parts of the turbocharger, designed to ensure precision and efficiency in the initial phase of the reconditioning process.

Processable components

The machine is capable of balancing:

  • single turbine shaft
  • single compressor wheel
  • complete rotor (turbine shaft + compressor wheel)

These are the main components responsible for turbocharger movement.

Performance and operation

The B1R operates through a drive system that rotates the component, enabling unbalance analysis.

Rotation speed

Up to 5000 rpm for automotive applications

Approximately 2500 rpm for industrial, agricultural or marine vehicles

The speed varies according to the size and type of rotor.

Intelligent self-calibration

One of the distinctive elements of the B1R is the automatic self-calibration system.

Unlike traditional systems, it is not necessary to manually enter parameters such as:

  • diameters
  • lengths
  • component geometries

How it works

Through a guided procedure:

  • a sample weight (30 mg) is applied in two positions
  • the system automatically identifies the rotor characteristics
  • balancing planes and correction parameters are defined
